This EP is a reflection of my experiences this year, 2020.

Washed Away is about wishing on stars in Animal Crossing with loved ones, and not caring as much about the star fragments in the morning. It's also about not knowing what you want, and wishing you were twirling in the waves like the fallen stars.

Other World is an expression of how much I've grown as a producer this year. It's really focused on sounding beautiful and making the listener move, which I think is artistic and wonderful in itself. I started making this one day when I drew random letters out of a hat to choose the chord progression.

Vanilla Forest is a theme I made for a game that didn't get made. It's meant to play while exploring Wintery Woods. The flute represents the forest, the piano represents the snow, and the chipsounds represent the player. Many of the melodic motifs came up in other themes I wrote for the game, but I've chosen not to release them.

Night to Myself is a song I enjoyed composing, but probskay is really the star in this song. It fits the theme of needing to take distance from relationships that are a bit draining, which is also explored in Washed Away and You Said I'm Just Like Water.

Plural Gaze was something I named and recorded lyrics for the day this album went out. It's about cuddling with headmates, but it's also just a fun song to move to, like Other World. This is one of the first beats I wrote this year and it was nice to return to it before releasing this album.

You Said I'm Just Like Water is about a lot, and you can reach out to me about this song and any other song for more details. Being like water to someone means that they can keep sending time with you, and it will always be refreshing and good for them. It's a really flattering compliment, but not everyone can be someone else's water. This year I learned that I can't necessarily give everything to everyone, and that's okay,
